Is Lee Sang-min Finally Remarrying After 20 Years? Fans Speculate About His Non-Celebrity Fiancée
According to reports on May 1, Lee Sang-min is currently making wedding preparations with his girlfriend. While her identity remains a mystery, clues from Lee Sang-min’s past comments on variety shows have sparked a flurry of speculation online.
In a teaser clip for KBS Joy’s The Matchmaker Season 2, where Lee Sang-min served as MC, he described his ideal type, “Someone with a body that looks good in the clothes I buy for her,” he began. He further specified a height between 165–170 cm and weight between 48–54 kg, noting his own height as 175 cm.

Former S#arp member and co-host Lee Ji-hye jokingly commented, “That’s a celebrity spec,” to which Lee Sang-min replied, “Looks aren’t that important to me—I just like someone with a bright personality.”
The biggest clue? Lee Sang-min casually mentioned that someone born in 1994 would be “just fine,” suggesting he prefers women 8 to 12 years younger than him. Since then, netizens have guessed his fiancée could be around 30 years old and possibly a cheerful, non-celebrity woman fitting this description.
Now debt-free after reportedly repaying 69 billion KRW in liabilities, Lee Sang-min also said, “I’ve cleared my debt and I’m earning now—over 1 billion KRW a year.”

Lee Sang-min previously married singer Lee Hye-young in 2004 but divorced the following year. He debuted with Roo’Ra in 1994 and later produced for Chakra, S#arp, and Country Kko Kko. He remains a household name on TV through shows like SBS’s My Little Old Boy, Dolsing Fourmen, JTBC’s Knowing Bros, and MBN’s Altoran.
The wedding is expected this summer—likely before comedian Kim Jun-ho and Kim Ji-min’s July 13 ceremony. Fans can expect to hear more when My Little Old Boy airs Lee Sang-min’s wedding news on May 11.
