IU’s agency, EDAM Entertainment, announced on December 13 through her official fan café that the singer had pre-purchased food for fans participating in the rally. The message read, “To ensure Uaenas [IU’s fan club] holding their light sticks in this cold weather can keep their hands warm, we’ve prepared food and hot packs. Please take care of your health and safety, and visit the designated stores to pick up the items.”

The items included 200 pieces of bread, 200 drinks, 100 rice cakes, and 200 bowls of gukbap (rice soup), all available at designated bakeries, rice cake shops, and gukbap restaurants in Yeouido. While specifically aimed at fans, anyone could receive the food by simply mentioning “Uaena” at the store. The distribution will continue from December 14 until supplies run out.

The rallies near the National Assembly building have seen K-pop fans actively participating, holding light sticks and playing iconic songs such as Girls’ Generation’s debut track, Into the New World, a frequent anthem at these events. Yuri’s support reflects her awareness of the fans’ efforts and the symbolic importance of the song.

On December 14, NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein) created a new SNS account under the name “jeanzforfree”. Their first post on this new account features their own list of meal donations, including meals, coffee and heat packs, prepared for impeachment protesters currently demonstrating in Yeouido, South Korea. They clarified that anyone with a light stick, regardless of which artist’s fan they were, could receive the food.

Currently in Japan for scheduled activities, the members shared a Instagram story, saying, “Stay warm, don’t catch a cold, and enjoy the meals we’ve prepared. Korea is pretty cold right now, so we wanted to make sure you could eat something warm. We see what you’re doing together, and we’re cheering for you. We hope this helps in some way, so please take care of yourselves and stay strong.”
