IU Became Surprise Guest In The Middle Of AKMU 10th Anniversary Concert, “I Am Honored”
The “2024 AKMU 10th Anniversary Concert [10VE]” was held at the KSPO Dome in Seoul Olympic Park on the afternoon of June 16th. The concert was held to commemorate the 10th anniversary of AKMU’s debut for two days following the previous day.
IU made a surprise appearance as a guest in the middle of the concert and sang “Meaning of You.” Fans reacted enthusiastically during her performance. IU encouraged the audience to sing along, saying, “Let’s listen to AKKADEMY’s voices,” and the 10,000 audience had a spectacular performance of “Meaning of You.”
IU said, “I came as a guest at AKMU’s first concert, and it’s such an honor to be able to be a guest on their 10th anniversary like this, and I think it’s so great that they have become my family. I met them when they were 16 and 19, and I want to congratulate them on becoming the representative musicians of Korea and filling up the KSPO Dome.”
Afterwards, IU said, “I hope AKMU can sing until the 100th anniversary. Please show lots of love to the best musicians,” and performed “Blueming” live.
Meanwhile, AKMU’s concert included their leading hits of their 10-year journey, as well as new songs and unreleased songs from their third mini album, “Love Episode,” released on June 3rd, and witty performances based on the theme of “10VE.” The band sessions, choirs, orchestras, and musical actors were on stage with them for the event.
