IVE (An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Leeseo) held an encore concert for their first world tour “IVE THE 1ST WORLD TOUR ‘SHOW WHAT I HAVE'” on September 5th at the Tokyo Dome in Japan.

This encore concert at Tokyo Dome marked the final performance of their first world tour. IVE began their first world tour at Jamsil Arena, Seoul in October last year and performed a total of 37 shows across 28 cities in 19 countries, including Asia, the Americas, Europe and South America over the span of 11 months. IVE, the first fourth-generation K-pop girl group to enter KSPO Dome, concluded their tour at Tokyo Dome, a “dream stage for artists”, drawing a total of 420,000 audience members.

What did it feel like to end their first world tour at the prestigious Tokyo Dome? An Yujin shared with OSEN, “It was an honor to perform on such a large stage like Tokyo Dome during our first world tour. When we first heard the news, we couldn’t believe it, and we wondered if we would be able to fill the seats. We were shocked when we heard it sold out quickly, and we were so moved. We felt grateful for all the love and support we’ve received and practiced endlessly to deliver an amazing performance.”

For Rei, the experience was even more emotional, as she is originally from Japan. She said, “I always dreamed of performing at Tokyo Dome since I was little, so I’m incredibly happy to have achieved that dream. I believe none of this would have been possible without fans’ support and love. We’ll continue to work hard to show you even more on bigger stages in the future, so please wait a little longer.

Gaeul added, “Tokyo Dome feels like a stage that’s almost too grand for us. It’s also the largest stage we’ve performed on during our world tour. Memories from our debut until now flashed before my eyes. It was such a touching and meaningful time to perform in front of so many fans gathered in one place to listen to our music and watch our stage. I hope to see even more DIVEs on bigger stages in the future. We’ll keep doing our best, so please stay with us.”

Despite the demands of their world tour, IVE was the only K-pop girl group invited to perform at “Lollapalooza Chicago”, where they delivered a special performance that elevated K-pop’s global presence. Gaeul commented, “It was an incredible honor to be part of such a renowned festival. Just being able to stand alongside famous domestic and international artists was a great feeling, and we were able to enjoy the stage with the support of so many fans and audience members. If we’re invited again next year, we’d love to perform once more.”

Rei added, “Before going on stage, the members and I talked a lot. We were nervous and anxious, but we tried to help each other relax and kept discussing the performance. Once we were on stage, the nervousness disappeared, and we were able to fully enjoy ourselves. We’ve performed on many stages before, but the atmosphere at a festival is different, and it gave us a unique feeling. Although the hot weather made things challenging, the crowd sang along to our songs and welcomed us with smiles, helping us overcome the heat.”
