IVE’s Rei Goes Viral with “Rampaging Guinea Pig” Dance: Over 30 Million Views and Counting

IVE’s Rei has once again proven her influence as a Gen Z trendsetter, turning a quirky dance move into a full-fledged viral phenomenon. Dubbed the “Rampaging Guinea Pig” (Pokjoo-Ginny) challenge, the trend stems from a post-chorus move in IVE’s latest title track “ATTITUDE”, which fans likened to an adorable guinea pig in motion.
The move caught fire on platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, especially after Rei shared playful versions of the dance under nicknames like “Move Out Ginny” and “Strawberry Ginny.” Her solo challenge clips have racked up over 38.6 million views, making her the face of the viral moment and earning her the title “Captain Ginny.”

The challenge’s popularity has swept across the K-pop industry, with artists from MONSTA X, LE SSERAFIM, ZEROBASEONE, and even children’s characters like Bellygom and Teeniepings jumping on board. Each version includes creative spins and nicknames, adding to the meme-like fun.
Though IVE’s official promotions ended in February, the “Pokjoo-Ginny” wave continues to grow, further proof of the group’s powerful presence online. The track “ATTITUDE” carries a message about facing life with strength and self-assurance, making the challenge’s cheerful energy resonate even more.

Meanwhile, IVE is set to launch their Japanese fan concert tour starting April 12–13 in Nagoya, and Rei remains in the spotlight with her solo variety show “Try It, Rei!” and her upcoming MC role at the Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2025 this May.
From playful dances to international tours, Rei is showing once again that everything she touches turns into a trend.
