On April 14, his agency Space Shower Music confirmed the heartbreaking news, stating, “JJJ passed away on April 13 at a hospital in Tokyo. We would like to express our deepest gratitude for the love and support he received throughout his life, especially from his fans.”

JJJ had just announced his “the light” Tour on April 8, with concerts set to begin on June 8 in Hiroshima and span five major cities across Japan. All shows have now been officially canceled, with details on refunds to follow.

The news has stunned fans, many of whom took to social media to express disbelief: “This can’t be true,” “I still had so much music I wanted to hear from him,” and “Please say this is a mistake.”

Regarding the funeral, the agency added, “In accordance with the wishes of his family, the ceremony will be held privately with only close relatives in attendance. We kindly ask that you continue to cherish and listen to JJJ’s music.”
