A recent survey conducted by the Japanese media outlet Netorabo, titled “What Do You Think is the Most Entertaining Korean Drama?”, is a testament to this growing enthusiasm. The survey, which ran from May 11 to 18 this year, garnered a strong response with a total of 5,866 participants, showing the intense interest in Korean dramas. Netorabo recently re-released the survey results on its main website, capturing the attention of Korean drama fans.

The top-ranked drama in this survey was Queen of Tears, which earned 584 votes out of a total of 5,866. True to its title, Queen of Tears captivated Japanese viewers with its deep emotions and immersive storytelling, earning immense love and popularity.

Viewers who enjoyed “Queen of Tears” commented, “I was moved by how the two people, who initially misunderstood each other, realized they needed each other and overcame various trials. The actors’ performances were excellent, and the story was engaging. It’s been a while since I’ve been so hooked on a Korean drama.”

Following Queen of Tears at number one, Extraordinary Attorney Woo secured second place with 574 votes. The drama, beloved worldwide for its unique characters and heartfelt storytelling, received an enthusiastic response in Japan, further proving its popularity. In third place was Crash Landing on You, earning 495 votes. This series is considered one of the iconic works that reignited the Korean drama craze in Japan.

In fourth place was Hospital Playlist, earning 318 votes, followed by Misaeng: Incomplete Life in fifth place with 285 votes, praised for its realistic depiction of workplace life. Taking the sixth spot was Dr. Romantic, with 271 votes, solidifying its position as a powerhouse in the medical drama genre.

Other popular series, such as What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, Penthouse, and Itaewon Class, also ranked high, showcasing the diverse preferences of Japanese fans of Korean dramas.
