Top musical actor Jeon Ho-jun has recently come under fire after a woman claiming to be his ex-girlfriend alleged he assaulted her, extorted money, and transmitted a sexually transmitted disease (STD) during their relationship. The actor has since denied the accusations, presenting counterclaims and photographic evidence.

In particular, on May 24, the woman, identified as “A”, took to social media to accuse Jeon of financial exploitation and physical abuse. She claimed that under the pretense of marriage, Jeon took nearly 10 million KRW (about 7,300 USD) from her, including covering travel expenses to Thailand, which she paid alone. More alarmingly, she alleged that she contracted an STD during their relationship.

A also accused Jeon Ho-jun of violent assault. Describing one incident, she claimed, “When I arrived at his home, he was heavily intoxicated. As soon as he opened the door, he began choking me, slammed me to the ground by my hair, and pressed his knee into my chest while continuing to choke me.”

Moreover, she added that after she tried to escape, the actor struck her in the face, and the situation escalated to a mutual physical confrontation. “When I resisted, I hit his head, and he bled. He called the police using my phone, which led to the case being treated as mutual assault,” A wrote.

Although A initially expressed she did not wish to pursue punishment, she claims Jeon later hired a lawyer and completely cut off contact. “I’m furious and feel deeply wronged,” she said, sharing photos of bruises, chat logs, and police statements to support her account.

In response, Jeon Ho-jun publicly denied the accusations through a media interview and by posting his own set of evidence, including photos of facial injuries and blood-stained hair, claiming that the violence was mutual.

Speaking to media outlet Newsen, the actor explained, “About three months ago, I told A I wanted to break up, but she reacted with extreme behavior, making it very difficult to end the relationship. Despite trying to resolve things peacefully, the conflict continued.”

He further stated, “I have no intention of directly contacting A again. If my ongoing play suffers any damage, I will take immediate legal actions.”
