Jeon Somi Reunites with NMIXX on “Live Wire” and Breaks Down in Tears Over Emotional Trainee Memories
In episode 4 of the show, Jeon Somi welcomed Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin, reminiscing about their shared past as trainees.
After watching NMIXX‘s energetic performance of “DASH,” Somi revealed that she and Lily trained together years ago. “We recently ran into each other at a university festival, and I was overwhelmed by how much she had changed. I really wanted to see her again, so I personally requested for NMIXX to join this episode,” she shared, her eyes welling with tears.
Lily responded with equal warmth: “I’ve been listening to Somi unnie’s music a lot, but I really missed her and was curious about how she’s doing.” Their genuine affection set the tone for a segment filled with laughter, memories, and a sense of reunion that transcended music.
At producer Jung Jae-hyung’s suggestion, Somi even joined NMIXX as an honorary member for a spontaneous performance. Despite the limited rehearsal time, she nailed their choreography, impressing Code Kunst, who called her “pure talent.” Somi reflected, “It was brief, but gave me chills. I’ve always wanted to grow closer to the NMIXX members, especially Lily.”
The episode’s mood stayed upbeat as NMIXX taught Somi the viral “Maru is a Puppy” challenge—originally sung by Haewon—filling the set with joy and playful energy.
Closing the episode, Kyujin, Lily, and Jiwoo delivered a powerful performance of “Ridin'” from World of Dance Korea, while Somi and the rest of the NMIXX members were spotted enthusiastically cheering and headbanging in support, ending the show with unity, smiles, and an unforgettable spark of shared history.
