Jessi Shares Update After Skipping Refund Sisters Reunion at Kim Jong-min’s Wedding

On April 26, Jessi posted a video on her SNS, showing herself driving down a road with two male acquaintances. Wearing a cap and seatbelt, Jessi was seen sitting in a car where the driver’s seat was on the right side, suggesting she was abroad. The caption indicated the video was taken on April 25, 2025.
Meanwhile, Uhm Jung-hwa, Lee Hyori, and Hwasa all members of the Refund Sisters project group formed through MBC’s Hangout with Yoo in 2020 were seen reuniting at Kim Jong-min’s wedding. Jessi’s noticeable absence at the event sparked curiosity among fans.

Previously, Jessi faced controversy after being involved in a fan assault incident last year. A teenage fan reportedly requested a photo in Apgujeong, Gangnam, when a man in Jessi’s entourage assaulted the fan. Although Jessi attempted to intervene, she soon left the scene. When police arrived, Jessi and her companions allegedly denied knowing the attacker.
At the time, Jessi’s agency clarified that the assailant was a friend of a producer Jessi knew and not directly connected to her. Jessi later expressed regret during police questioning, stating, “I hope the attacker is caught and punished.”

As criticism intensified, Jessi issued a public apology, saying, “I sincerely apologize to the victim and their family. My actions and failure to properly respond have caused hurt and anger to many people.” She continued, “I regret it thousands and millions of times. If I could turn back time, I would have protected the victim better and acted more responsibly.”
Since the controversy, Jessi has slowly resumed activities, including sharing moments from her Manila concert earlier this year.
