Jessi’s ‘Fan Assault’ Perpetrator Allegedly Identified By A YouTuber Via A Website’s Referrer ID+Rumored To Be In A Gang

The information was revealed through a YouTube channel. On October 28th, the channel “Shamu” released a video titled “[Exclusive] Jessi-Involved Assault Case Perpetrator Joker’s Name, Age Revealed,” which speculated on the identity of the individual who assaulted Jessi’s fan.
According to the channel, the perpetrator has an Instagram account with a username that combines “Why so serious?”—a famous line by the villain Joker in the movie The Dark Knight—with a number, which led to him being referred to as “Joker.”
The person referred to as “Joker” on Instagram had linked a cosmetics company’s website in his profile. The YouTuber identified the user’s name by searching for the “referrer” ID on that website, revealing the name “Justin Ma.”
The name was searched using a service that helps find people and information surfaced that pointed to a person living in San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles, California, USA.

Justin Ma was found to be born in September 1987, and it was noted that the numerical ID on the Instagram account began with “09,” which matched the month of his birth.
Additionally, an email account linked to Justin Ma was revealed, and it matched the ID of a YouTube account where a video posted 16 years ago identified him as the perpetrator. This further supported the suspicions.
The alleged perpetrator, referred to as “A,” was accused of indiscriminately assaulting someone who came to ask to take a photo with Jessi in Apgujeong, Gangnam, Seoul, on the 29th of last month. At the time, Jessi did not intervene and left the scene. When the police, alerted by the victim’s report, inquired about the perpetrator’s whereabouts from Jessi’s party, they reportedly answered, “We don’t know.”

Jessi’s side clarified, saying, “We have no relation to the perpetrator, and he is a Chinese friend of a producer Jessi is close with.” The police have summoned both Jessi and the producer for questioning.
Several speculative posts about the alleged perpetrator “A” have also emerged. Rumors claimed the man is part of a gang primarily operating in Los Angeles and is of Taiwanese descent. The gang is reportedly involved in drug trafficking and gambling as their main sources of income.
On the 23rd, Jessi posted a second apology on Instagram. While she had previously apologized, the public criticism had not subsided, prompting her to release an additional statement. She wrote, “I wish I could go back to that moment,” expressing regret. “If I had taken a photo with the victim, if I had been more proactive in protecting him, if I had gone straight to the police station, or if I had given a proper apology, the victim would not be suffering this much.”
