Ji Ye-eun Admits She Kept Distance from BTS Jin at First: “I Thought I’d Get Hate for Being Close to BTS”

Actress Ji Ye-eun, currently starring alongside BTS’s Jin in Netflix’s hit variety show Kian’s Bizarre B&B, opened up about the unique pressure of working with a global superstar, and how Jin changed everything.
In a recent interview segment, Ji Ye-eun admitted she initially hesitated to get close to Jin due to his immense fame as a BTS member. “I was nervous at first, so I tried not to get too close,” she confessed with a laugh. “But Jin made me feel really comfortable. We got close quickly. To me, BTS means Jin oppa, no one else.”

Jin responded with warmth and understanding, sharing that many people are often intimidated by his BTS identity. “That’s why I try to be extra friendly,” he said.
Co-star Kian84 chimed in, saying, “BTS is Jin to me, too!” He praised Jin’s incredible work ethic during the shoot, describing him as the team’s anchor. “In a way, Jin was the real powerhouse. After three days, Ye-eun cried. I broke down after two. It was exhausting, physically and emotionally. But Jin was different. We relied on him a lot.”

Jin, ever humble, reflected on the challenging filming experience with his signature humor: “It was chaos, and that’s what the show is about. If it were too comfortable, it wouldn’t be Kian’s Bizarre B&B. I gave it my all.” He added with a chuckle, “I’ve always lived a busy life. Seeing Ye-eun and Kian struggle made me think, ‘Is it really that bad’?”
Directed by “Hyori’s Homestay” PD Jung Hyo-min, “Kian’s Bizarre B&B” reimagines the guesthouse reality format with an eccentric twist. Starring Kian84, Jin, and Ji Ye-eun, the show quickly topped Netflix Korea’s trending chart and continues to charm viewers with its blend of chaos, camaraderie, and heartfelt moments.
