Jin Tae-hyun Shares Cancer Surgery Success and Thanks Kim Woo-bin for Support

On June 24, actor Jin Tae-hyun shared on his personal channel, “I successfully completed my surgery around 11 AM on June 24, 2025,” adding, “Thanks to everyone’s concern, the cancer cells in my body are now gone.”

Reflecting on his journey, he said, “Looking back on the past few months of living with the word ‘cancer,’ whether big or small, deep or shallow, it was a meaningful time that taught me how to live my life going forward. There were countless messages of support before my surgery, but I’m especially grateful to the Divorce Camp team and my junior colleague, actor Kim Woo Bin, with whom I’ve never had any prior contact.”

Jin Tae-hyun particularly highlighted a heartwarming anecdote about Kim Woo-bin, who himself battled nasopharyngeal cancer in the past. He shared, “Woo-bin, despite never having met me, personally reached out to encourage me to overcome my illness. I’m a bit embarrassed because my cancer is one that can be resolved with surgery, but I deeply cherish his kind concern and will strive to be a good senior in the entertainment industry. Let’s continue to support each other’s endeavors and live well.”

He concluded, “It hurts, but the surgery is done. I’m always grateful to God, who is my everything, and now I’ll focus solely on recovery, ready to run on the track again soon. I’m a marathoner, after all.” Jin Tae-hyun was diagnosed with thyroid cancer during a health checkup in April and underwent surgery on this day. He is currently appearing on JTBC’s Divorce Camp and is expected to continue his broadcasting activities post-surgery.
