As Jung Hae-in approaches his 11th year in the acting industry, the episode looked back at his career path, from his unforgettable first audition to his memorable roles as the first loves of characters in “Reply 1988” and “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God”. He will also talk about how difficult times, including dealing with hate comments that caused insomnia and panic disorder, helped shape his career.

In particular, in this episode, Yoo Jae-seok said, “Thanks to “While You Were Sleeping,” Prison Playbook” and other works, Hae-in started to draw attention from viewers in earnest, but as soon as they saw “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food,” people started to ask “Who is that male lead?” and Jung Hae-in replied, “That’s already six years ago. Time flies so fast.”

Yoo said, “Sometimes I get a feeling that there are people who just needs one hit to rise to stardom. That’s when Jung Hae-in got it,” and Jung told him, “I was thirty years old. I think I was very lucky. Thanks to Ye-jin’s help and Ahn Pan-seok’s direction, it’s also a miracle that I was casted.”

Yoo Jae-seok recalled, “At that time, Jung Hae-in came all the way to the point where it was called Jung Hae-in syndrome,” and Jung Hae-in sympathized, saying, “When I think about it, I think it really was like that.”

In particular, Yoo Jae-seok wondered, “I heard that although you received a lot of love for this work, there were times you felt weak after it,” and Jung Hae-in confessed, “I think physical strength was the biggest problem. I was overloaded because I was not ready and worked so hard. I couldn’t sleep much, I had severe insomnia, so I wasn’t happy at the time.”

Yoo Jae-seok asked, “What happened that caused insomnia?” and Jung Hae-in said, “I haven’t had such experience because I’ve received so much love and attention, so I think I needed time to become solid and find a way.”

Jung Hae-in said, “In short, I woke up to being a star. I was so happy and grateful, but there were times when I received a good proposal that I am grateful for and I am still worried about whether I can do this well. I wonder if I can meet many people’s expectations,” and “How long will this be able to last?” he said.

Actually, even if I am thirty-one years old, I am still a kid,” Jung said. “I’m young. I had not been working for a long time, and I thought any malicious comments or things like that were everything in the world.”

Jung Hae-in said, “Anyway, I have to keep standing in front of the camera and get judged, but there was a time when I was so scared. There was a time when I thought about my existence itself, and for a very long time since I didn’t go out of the house, and I lived as a reclusive person, and I had similar panic disorder, and I was scared to meet people.”

“I read all the malicious comments back then and wondered “What’s wrong with me?” Jung said. “Now I know that there are people who support me, that there are people who are not interested in me, that there are people who hate me. I realized that.”

“At that time, I wanted to know why people don’t like me, but there’s no reason,” said Jung Hae-in. “They just don’t. There could be a reason. But what can I do if they don’t like me? I don’t like it. I think it started from trying to be loved by so many people, and after realizing that I can’t be loved by everyone, I became ‘Let’s do my best for those who love and support me.'”

Additionally, the episode explored Jung Hae-in’s personal color. His friendship with fellow actors Kim Soo-hyun and Im Si-wan, both born in 1988 like him, was also be highlighted. Viewers can expect to enjoy Jung Hae-in’s candid stories, his passion for acting and even his musical talents.
