Actor Jung Kyung Ho recently gave fans an intimate look into his 13-year relationship with Girls’ Generation member and actress Sooyoung. Appearing as a guest on the May 18 episode of ENA’s talk show “Dining at Your Favorite Spot!”, the actor shared heartfelt anecdotes about their romance, revealing just how deep their bond runs.
Particularly, during the broadcast, Jung Kyung-ho took hosts Choi Hwa-jung and Kim Ho-young to one of his favorite restaurants – a black pork barbecue spot that boasts a jaw-dropping four-hour wait time. Apparently, the place holds special meaning for Jung, as he built a connection with the owner during his rookie days. The unexpected identity of the restaurant’s owner left the hosts in awe.

However, it was Jung Kyung-ho’s love story with Sooyoung that truly stole the spotlight. He spoke fondly about how Sooyoung recently began filming the drama “Second Shot at Love” (tentative title), and touched viewers by saying, “She told me she chose that project because of me.” He also proudly added that the drama is worth watching and expressed his excitement for her new role.
Then, when asked whether they discuss each other’s work, Jung Kyung-ho joked, “I give her lots of compliments, but I don’t get any in return,” bringing laughs to the studio and showing his playful, romantic side.
In a more emotional moment, Jung Kyung-ho recalled crying at the wedding of his longtime friend and fellow actor Yeon Je-wook, where he also served as the MC. “I cried more than the bride,” he confessed.
Finally, the actor opened up about his role in the hit drama “Prison Playbook”, revealing that he personally requested an audition and even wrote a heartfelt letter listing eight reasons why he was perfect for the role of Jun-ho. Despite initial rejection from the production team, his passion paid off, and the role became one of his career-defining performances.
