“Dating Rumors with Jung Hae-in” Jung So-min Wins Her First Best Actress Award “Not Sure I Deserve It”
On November 18, the 44th Golden Cinematography Awards took place at the Construction Building in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Since its inception in 1977, this film festival, hosted by the Korean Society of Cinematographers, aims to preserve the continuous technical sense of Korean cinema and discover new screen faces.
Jung So-min captured attention by taking home the prestigious Best Actress trophy. She was recognized for her comedic performance as Hong Na-ra in the movie “Love Reset” (directed by Nam Dae-jung), which premiered in October last year, earning critical acclaim.
Since her debut in 2010, Jung So-min had never won a Best Actress award until now. What made the moment even more remarkable was sharing the spotlight with globally renowned actor Song Kang-ho, who won the Best Actor award for his role in the film “Cobweb” (directed by Kim Jee-woon).
Taking the stage, Jung So-min expressed her heartfelt gratitude, “I’m not sure I deserve such a significant award. It’s my first Best Actress award, and the fact that it’s given by cinematographers makes it even more meaningful.”
Meanwhile, following her success in “Love Reset”, Jung So-min also gained popularity this year with the drama “Love Next Door”. Her on-screen chemistry with actor Jung Hae-in generated so much buzz that it even sparked dating rumors.
