Jung Woo-sung Makes First Public Appearance Since Love Child Controversy, Spotted in China with Lee Jung-jae and A Chinese Actress

Actor Jung Woo-sung has been spotted in China for the first time since confirming he fathered a child with model Moon Ga-bi, stirring online buzz amid ongoing scrutiny of his private life.
On April 3, Chinese online communities lit up with photos and videos of Jung Woo-sung and fellow actor Lee Jung-jae in Beijing, reportedly engaging with figures from the Chinese entertainment industry. The duo, who co-founded Artist Company, visited a major tech conglomerate’s entertainment subsidiary to discuss potential collaborations, including film production.

Their appearance comes amid rising speculation about the loosening of China’s long-standing Hallyu ban, restrictions placed on Korean pop culture exports. Footage of Jung and Lee entering a building together has since gone viral on Chinese social media.
Adding to the intrigue, the two actors were also seen visiting a cigar bar with popular Chinese actress Zhou Dongyu, fueling discussion even before Korean media picked up the story.

This marks Jung Woo-sung’s first public appearance since November, when he shocked the public by acknowledging paternity of a child born to Moon Ga-bi, despite the two never being romantically linked prior. The news broke just two days after Moon Ga-bi revealed she had given birth, prompting speculation about the nature and timeline of their relationship. Additional rumors surfaced suggesting Jung may have been involved with someone else at the time.
While Jung’s agency called it a “private matter,” he faced intense public scrutiny. Still, just five days after the scandal, Jung attended the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards, directly addressing the situation, “I will accept and bear all criticism. And as a father, I will take full responsibility for my son until the end.”

Public sentiment has remained divided. Some praised Jung for owning up to his responsibilities, while others criticized the secrecy surrounding the situation. In a January interview promoting “Squid Game Season 2,” Lee Jung-jae commented on Jung’s situation, stating that he had been busy filming the upcoming project “Made in Korea” in various regional locations, “Because of filming, we haven’t met much lately. But once his regional filming wraps up and my overseas promotions end, we’ll meet up.”
Despite the controversy, interest in Jung Woo-sung’s upcoming projects remains strong, and his recent high-profile appearance suggests he’s steadily moving forward in both career and personal life.
