In February 2022, Kang Han shared Jung Woo-sung’s heartwarming story on KTV’s web variety show “Kkondae Grandma”. Kang Han explained, “I’ve been living in an orphanage since childhood as I grew up without parents. My mother gave birth to me at 15, but I’ve never met her.” After leaving the orphanage at 18, Kang Han became a national bobsled team member in 2019 and 2021 but was unable to compete in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics due to a leg injury.

During his recovery, Kang Han faced significant financial difficulties until Jung Woo-sung stepped in to help. Kang Han said, “Woo-sung hyung isn’t my biological brother, but he’s like family. He supported me with millions of won for surgery expenses.”

Kang Han also shared how they met, “When I was in my first year of high school, I happened to visit the Busan International Film Festival with an acquaintance. While talking in a café, Jung Woo-sung sat nearby, and that’s how our connection began.” Since then, their bond has grown. Kang Han expressed his gratitude, “Thanks to him, I’ve made it this far. I’m incredibly thankful and will repay his kindness with my success. Please keep watching over me.”

Meanwhile, Jung Woo-sung has acknowledged that Moon Ga-bi’s son is his biological child but firmly stated he has no plans for marriage. Reports suggest he will provide child support, which, under current legal guidelines, can be up to 3 million KRW per month. However, considering his position, it is expected that he may pay tens of millions of won in support.
