Jung Woo-sung’s “Age Gap” Comment Draws Attention After He Has a Child with 16-Year-Younger Model

On November 24, actor Jung Woo-sung, who recently denied rumors of an affair with actress Shin Hyun-bin, shocked the public with the bombshell news that he had become a father, rather than getting married or being in a relationship.

Model Moon Ga-bi, who had been on a four-year hiatus, surprised fans a few days ago by revealing her childbirth on social media, with the biological father being Jung Woo-sung.

According to reports, the two met at a gathering in 2022 and became close. Moon Ga-bi revealed her pregnancy in June last year, and she gave birth in March this year. The two never had a relationship based on marriage but decided to raise their child separately, as parents without being a couple.

The 16-year age gap between Moon Ga-bi (born in 1989) and Jung Woo-sung (born in 1973) added to the shock.

In online communities, Jung Woo-sung’s past comment, where he rejected a young female fan who wanted to marry him, has resurfaced.

The fan, a middle school student, had asked, “I’m a middle school student from Hapjeong-dong. I want to marry Jung Woo-sung. Can I marry him?” to which Jung Woo-sung responded, “The age gap is something we can’t overcome.”

In a V LIVE interview, Jung Woo-sung firmly turned down the middle schooler’s bold question, advising her, “When you’re old enough to get married, a man who is even more wonderful than me will come into your life and be your perfect match.” Jung Woo-sung gave sincere, warm advice as a life mentor to the young fan.

While the exact date of the broadcast is unclear, the age difference between Jung Woo-sung and the fan seemed significant, likely spanning multiple decades.

It now seems ironic that Jung Woo-sung, who once turned down the affectionate plea of a young fan because of their age gap, has now fathered a child with a woman younger than his niece.
