Jungkook’s “Seven” Sets Historic Record on Billboard Global Charts: Officially a Mega Hit Song!

According to the latest Billboard chart update dated May 31, Jungkook’s solo debut single “Seven,” released in July 2023, ranked No. 157 on the Billboard Global 200 and No. 82 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart.
This marks the song’s 96th week on the Global 200 and 97th week on the Global Excl. U.S., the longest charting period ever for any Asian solo artist on both lists.

Billboard also confirmed that Jungkook has now spent 231 total weeks on the Global 200 and 280 total weeks on the Global Excl. U.S. across all his charting songs.
The dominance doesn’t stop there. On Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart, one of the platform’s flagship rankings, “Seven” has held strong for 98 consecutive weeks, a record-breaking feat for an Asian soloist. It also surpassed 2.36 billion streams, becoming the fastest and first Asian solo song to reach the milestone.

In addition, Jungkook’s first solo album “GOLDEN,” released in November 2023, has been charting for 81 consecutive weeks on Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global chart, setting yet another historic record for an Asian solo album.
Most recently, Jungkook also achieved another milestone by winning four awards at the 2025 BMI Pop Awards, hosted by the U.S. music copyright organization BMI, marking him as the most awarded K-pop solo artist in the ceremony’s history.
