J.Y. Park Embraces His Role as Judge on “World of Street Woman Fighter” Season 3
Renowned singer and producer Park Jin Young has expressed his enthusiasm and unique perspective as a judge on the upcoming third season of the popular dance competition series, World of Street Woman Fighter.
At the production press conference held on May 27 in Gangnam, Seoul, J.Y. Park revealed that although he had followed the previous seasons as a viewer, his direct involvement this season allowed him to revisit the show with a fresh perspective. “Previously, I watched the earlier seasons through broadcasts and clips. Now that I’m part of it, I watched everything again, fully engaged as a fan,” he shared.
J.Y. Park highlighted that dance has always been an instinctive passion for him. “My journey began as a backup dancer for Kim Gun-mo when I was young. Dance has always been the most natural form of expression for me,” he explained. He added that being able to gather talented dancers from around the world to celebrate the art of dance is something he deeply appreciates.
Regarding his judging approach, J.Y. Park noted the difference this season compared to his past experiences on televised auditions. “Judging in English allowed me to be more relaxed and spontaneous. In the past, judging singers on national broadcasts involved a lot of pressure and complex considerations, especially given my ties to the industry. This time, I simply reacted naturally to the performances without overthinking,” he said.
He also remarked that he views the competition through the dual lens of a dancer and a K-pop producer, balancing artistic and production aspects.
World of Street Woman Fighter Season 3 is an international edition of the hit Korean dance series, featuring six crews from five countries: AG Squad (New Zealand), Motiv (USA), Bumsup (Korea), Ojo Gang and RH Tokyo (Japan), and Royal Family (Australia). The series will premiere on May 27 at 10 PM (KST).
With a diverse lineup and J.Y. Park’s involvement as a judge, the season promises to deliver thrilling performances and expert evaluations that celebrate the global street dance community.
