As the controversies surrounding Kim Soo-hyun worsened, leading to damage to his public image, advertisers and filmmakers who are working with the male actor is showing mixed response.
According to industry sources on March 12th, vegan beauty brand “Dinto”, which selected Kim Soo Hyun as its model, has put all related schedules on hold. in particular, Dinto, operated by CEO Ahn Ji-hye, stated, “All employees have been verifying the facts and discussing our response strategy. Currently, all planned schedules related to the model have been suspended.”

Meanwhile, Homeplus, which recently hired Kim Soo-hyun as its model, has decided to continue with Kim Soo-hyun without any changes. They are taking the position that they will watch the situation a bit more and carefully review it. A Homeplus official said, “Since nothing has been objectively confirmed yet, we will watch the situation and carefully review it,” adding, “As of now, it is a one-sided claim, so there has been no change.”
Outdoor clothing brand Eider also plans to maintain its contract with its model, actor Kim Soo-hyun, as before. An Eider official said, “Nothing has been decided, so we have no separate position to share.” Additionally, other companies that feature Kim Soo-hyun as a model are also reportedly engaged in internal discussions.

However, after Dispatch spoke out about Kim Soo-hyun’s scandal, the Homeplus supermarket chain removed his images from its homepage. Additionally, other brands such as Shinhan Bank and Jeju Air also took down Kim Soo-hyun’s images, even setting advertisements from five years ago to private mode.
On the other hand, Kim Soo-hyun’s upcoming work, “Knock Off”, is said to proceed as normal. Specifically, the distribution company of “Knock Off”, Disney+, told media Edaily on the 12th, “Season 2 of ‘Knock Off’ starring Kim Soo-hyun is filming as planned.”

It is known that Season 1 of the series was originally announced to be released in April. Regarding the release date and production press conference, etc., Disney+ said, “Nothing has been decided. We will inform you once it is decided.”
