So Ju-yeon debuted after a photo of her working in a hospital’s administration office went viral 

Actress So Ju-yeon has appeared in various dramas such as ‘Not Alright, But It’s Alright,’ ‘Lovestruck in the City,’ and the ‘Dr. Romantic’ series. She has garnered much love from fans for her innocent and lovable image.

So Ju-yeon dreamed of becoming Miss Korea in her childhood but gave up on the dream due to her humble height of 157cm. After graduating from university, she started working at a hospital administration office. However, So Ju-yeon’s life took a turn when a photo she posted on social media caught the eye of an entertainment insider, leading to a casting offer.

So Ju-yeon made her debut in 2017 with a commercial, marking her first public appearance. At the time of her CF debut, a screenshot of her advertisement was posted on an online community with the nickname ‘3-second Lim Soo-jung,’ gaining Korean netizens’ attention.

So Ju-yeon once shared a funny episode where she constantly hears jokes related to soju because of her name ‘So Ju-yeon.’

However, she revealed that she is actually very weak with alcohol. In fact, during the shoot for an alcohol commercial, she said her face turned red after just a few takes where she had to drink small amounts of alcohol.

So Ju-yeon is known to love animals, especially cats, but she added that she cannot raise one herself due to allergies.

So Ju-yeon received much love from viewers for her appearance in the drama ‘Dr. Romantic 3,’ which ended last June. She is meeting viewers again through The Midnight Romance in Hagwon,’ which premiered on May 11th.

The drama ‘The Midnight Romance in Hagwon’ is set against the backdrop of Daechi-dong, known as the symbol of the private education market, and depicts the lives of academy instructors, garnering much anticipation.

In the drama, So Ju-yeon plays Nam Cheong-mi, a new Korean language instructor at an academy in Daechi.
