Former (G)I-DLE member Soo-jin’s school violence controversy was recently brought up in online communities
A netizen on Nate Pann drew attention by making a post titled “I have something to say about Soo-jin’s solo debut and controversy. Please read”.
They shared, “It’s been 2 years since Soo-jin left (G)I-DLE. Some people are still saying ‘She was expelled from the group due to a school violence issue’. Maybe they don’t know the truth. I wasn’t a fan of (G)I-DLE or Soo-jin at first. I just read about the issue and looked for all the materials myself and realized that Soo-jin’s position insisting on not committing school violence was so firm. The accusers changed their words and there was not enough evidence but people still one to send a person to abyss.”
They continued, “At that time, the actress uploaded a story targeting Soo-jin and the media turned to criticizing her. Later, it turned out that the actress didn’t know if Soo-jin was in the bully gang. They added, “It was actually the media that made Seo Soo-jin a villain until the end. Soo-jin’s fans don’t do anything but journalists keep mentioning (G)I-DLE in articles about Soo-jin. So I looked for Soo-jin’s information and became more comfortable with her. I hope Soo-jin and (G)I-DLE do well on their own. I also hope Pann netizens will stop slandering other people.”

However, when Seo Soo-jin was officially confirmed “not guilty” by the committee, they went silent. When asked about false and exaggerated claims, they either stayed silent or changed the tone of their responses to sound like ‘I don’t know anything’. Seems like exposing someone is too easy. If the person you hate is doing well, you can just gather a group and expose that person together by making up testimonies together ㅋㅋㅋㅋ No wonder the rate of dismissed defamation cases in our country is over 90%
