From aespa’s Winter to Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, many K-pop idols were harmed by fans’ rash actions
Recently, there have been various instances where K-pop idols are harmed by fans’ actions.
aespa’s Winter
In particular, during the red carpet broadcast of the “2023 SBS Gayo Daejeon”, which was held on December 25, a male fan holding a camera was seen rapidly throwing himself towards aespa’s Winter.
Security guards quickly subdued him, and fortunately, no harm was done. However, it was a precarious situation that could have led to a significant accident.
Girls’ Generation Taeyeon
Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon also faced a chaotic situation during a fan signing event. In particular, on December 8, Taeyeon held a fan signing event for her new album “To.X”.
During this process, when a man’s turn came, he created a disturbance by throwing his album on the table and shouting at Taeyeon to give him her phone number.
Fortunately, the manager and security guards intervened, bringing the situation to a close without major incidents. Despite the disruption caused by the male fan, Taeyeon calmly handled the situation, comforting surprised fans first.
Later, Taeyeon expressed her feelings on a fan communication platform, saying, “What I can’t forget is that he threw the album I worked so hard to make right in front of me. To those who came today, be careful going back. I felt upset.”
“Instead of hiding such incidents by quietly thinking about them, I thought everyone should know. That way, you can be cautious and prepared”, the female idol also said.
Super Junior’s Kyuhyun
Last month, the Seoul Gangseo Police Station arrested A, a woman in her 30s. It is reported that A visited the dressing room of a musical performance and threatened actors with a weapon.
While A was eventually apprehended by the police, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, who was at the scene, was injured while trying to stop A.
During police questioning, A stated that she couldn’t stand that her favorite celebrity Park Eun-tae didn’t recognize her as a fan, and so got angry and committed the crime.
