In the June 11 episode of the YouTube show “Hyungsoo is K.Will”, former After School member Kahi candidly shared her pregnancy and delivery journey with host K.Will.

The singer-turned-mother revealed she discovered her second pregnancy while vacationing in Bali.

“My body felt strange even before the trip, and I had tested twice with negative results. I had surfing scheduled, but on the first day, I took another test—it came back positive. That was it for the trip. It turned into a prenatal retreat instead,” she said with a laugh.

However, her second childbirth experience was far from easy. Kahi disclosed that during the filming of The Return of Superman, she experienced sudden and severe bleeding in the middle of the night.

“It was late, and I just started bleeding heavily,” she recounted. “I wrapped myself in a bath towel, panicked, and tried calling the filming crew. But who would answer at that hour? I rushed to the hospital while contacting the staff, who all eventually arrived and set up the shoot at the hospital.”

Although she had hoped for another natural delivery like her first, circumstances forced her to undergo an emergency C-section. “I tried to hold out, hoping for a natural birth, but they said it wasn’t safe anymore,” she shared.

Kahi also reflected on her postpartum experience and how she worked hard to regain her physical strength. “I breastfed for about 100 days. When I went back to the gym, I couldn’t do a single sit-up. My stomach felt like a deflated balloon. I was devastated,” she said. To recover, she exercised up to three hours daily and cut out carbohydrates for three months.

She added with a smile, “I was so strict after my first child that I let myself relax a bit with the second. I think I needed that balance.”
