aespa’s Karina Eyes Acting Debut: “I Want to Try Everything a Celebrity Can Do”
In the July 9 episode of “Morning Walk” on Jonathan’s YouTube channel, aespa’s Karina joined the host for a casual stroll and a heartfelt conversation.
The video, titled “[ENG] Talking Infinite Challenge With Karina | Morning Walk EP.03”, offered fans a glimpse into Karina’s mindset beyond her idol image.
During a car ride to a restaurant, Jonathan asked Karina about her future ambitions. She replied, “I want to try everything a celebrity can do. That way, I won’t have any regrets later.” Karina explained that her foray into variety shows was part of that journey and added, “I want to try acting someday too.”
When Jonathan shared his own aspirations in acting and music, Karina responded with support, “I think you’d be great at it.”
Reflecting on her five years since debut, Karina shared that she now feels more relaxed on set. “In the past, we felt like we had to prepare stories just to be on variety shows,” she admitted. “We even talked among ourselves about making up episodes.”
Karina also revealed her preference for talk shows over physical variety shows. “I enjoy conversations, but being an MC seems hard because you have to initiate the talk,” she said. Jonathan, offering insight, replied, “Being an MC is more about listening than speaking. I think you’d be good at it someday.”
With her growing experience and open mindset, Karina’s future in acting or even hosting looks increasingly promising. Fans can now look forward to seeing more of her talents unfold beyond the stage.
