KickFlip (Korean: 킥플립) (can be shorten to KFP) is a 7-member South Korean boy group formed through SBS’s reality competition program “Loud” and managed under JYP Entertainment, consisting of Kyehoon, Amaru, Donghwa, Juwang, Minje, Keiju, and Donghyeon. They debuted on January 20, 2025, with the extended play “Flip It, Kick It!”
KickFlip takes its name from the iconic skateboarding trick where the board spins along its long axis, representing the group’s determination to defy norms and bring daring performances to the stage.

Career
Pre-debut
KickFlip, along with The New Six, emerged from SBS’s K-pop survival show “LOUD,” a competition program jointly hosted by JYP Entertainment and P Nation. Premiering in June 2021 and concluding in September, the show led to the selection of Kyehoon, Keiju, Amaru, Lee Donghyeon, and Yoon Min as members of JYP’s upcoming boy group.
However, in April 2023, Yoon Min opened a personal Instagram account, hinting at his departure from both JYP Entertainment and the project group. Later, in October 2023, he participated in Mnet’s reality show “Vocal Showdown.”
Activities After Debut
On November 21, 2024, at the 2024 MAMA Awards in Los Angeles, JYP Entertainment founder Park Jin-young revealed that the company was in the “final stages of preparation” for their new boy group, teasing a silhouetted image of its seven members.
The following day, JYP officially announced the group’s name, KickFlip, and set their debut for January 1, 2025. However, due to the Jeju Air Flight 2216 crash, the debut was postponed to January 6. KickFlip eventually made their debut on January 20 with the EP “Flip It, Kick It!,” preceded by the pre-release single “Umm Great” on January 6.

Facts about KickFlip
- KickFlip is JYP Entertainment’s first Korean boy group in approximately seven years since Stray Kids debuted in 2018.
- Four members were selected through the show, while three new members, who were previously undisclosed trainees, later joined the lineup.
- As of their debut, the members’ average age is 18.3 years old. A majority of the group, four members, were born in 2006.
- All Korean members graduated from or are attending Hanlim Arts High School.
- Interestingly, all members’ MBTI personality types start with “I” (Introverted).
- Their birthdays are also concentrated in spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). Except for the leader and eldest member Kyehoon, who was born in September, the rest of the members have birthdays grouped into pairs in March, May, and October.
