At a press conference held on May 15 at CineQ Gwanghwamun in Seoul, MONSTA X‘s Kihyun addressed both media and fans, sharing his heartfelt thoughts about life after military discharge and his new journey in the kitchen through the new cooking variety show “Mr. Eo’s Food World Tour.”

“MONBEBEs already knew I could cook a bit,” he said with a smile. “But through this program, I’ve returned as someone who can cook more than ‘a bit’—I’ve improved a lot.”

He didn’t shy away from expressing his initial fears. “I had heard from others who were discharged before me that there might be a long period without work, so I was really worried,” he admitted. “That’s why I’m especially grateful to have been contacted right away.”

Kihyun also revealed that he felt an instinctive pull toward the show, even without a strategic reason. “I like cooking, so I thought, ‘Why not jump in and give it a try?'” he said, emphasizing his genuine interest and spontaneous decision to join the cast.
