On May 10, Kim Bo-ra’s agency, Noon Company, confirmed that actress Kim Bo-ra and film director Jo Barun have officially separated by mutual agreement, citing personality differences as the reason.
The couple met during the filming of the 2021 movie “The Grotesque Mansion,” where Kim Bo-ra starred and Jo Barun directed. Their working relationship developed into a romance, leading to a wedding in June 2023 after over three years of dating. Unfortunately, the marriage has now come to an end, less than a year later.

Kim Bo-ra, born in 1995, debuted as a child actress in the 2005 KBS drama “Wedding,” and rose to fame with “SKY Castle,” “Touch,” and films like “Love and Leashes” and “The Ghost Station.”
Jo Barun, born in 1989, made his directorial debut with the short film “Vibration” in 2016, which earned him an award at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. He later directed “Gang,” “The Wind Blows – Director’s Cut,” and “The Grotesque Mansion.”
Both parties have completed the divorce process and have asked the public to refrain from spreading rumors or speculative content.
