Recently, a post titled “The actress who considered emigrating after malicious comments poured in following her daughter’s face reveal” was uploaded to an online community. The story refers to Kim Hee Sun’s past appearance on SBS’s “Healing Camp“, where she opened up about the emotional distress caused by hateful comments directed at her daughter.

Kim Hee Sun said “People online left harsh comments about my daughter’s appearance, and it hurt me deeply. I even thought about emigrating. I couldn’t hide how sorry I felt that my beloved daughter was being criticized just because her mother is Kim Hee Sun. To me, she is the most beautiful daughter in the world”, tearing up.

Kim Hee Sun’s daughter is now 16 years old and was known to have passed a series of gifted child tests starting from the age of 6. She is currently studying in Singapore. Her looks, resembling her mother, along with her long limbs and outstanding fashion sense, have captured fans’ attention.

Kim Hee Sun debuted in 1993 with the drama Dinosaur Teacher. At the time, she earned the nickname “computer beauty” and gained immense popularity. She went on to star in films such as Ghost in Love, Bichunmoo, Wanee & Junah and Honey Sweet, as well as in dramas like The Story of Chunhyang, Men of the Bath House, Propose, To the End of the World, Mister Q, Sunflower, Tomato, Wonderful Days, The Lady in Dignity and Bitter Sweet Hell, receiving much love for her performances.

In 2006, Kim Hee Sun married Park Joo Young, a businessman three years her senior whom she met through an acquaintance. Park Joo Young is the second son of Roksan Group, a conglomerate with subsidiaries in construction, distribution and finance, and is a graduate of Hanyang University’s law program. The group boasts annual revenues of approximately 15 billion KRW. He currently runs an aesthetic specialty shop in Gangnam, Seoul and has expanded into the Chinese market with a cosmetics trade business and Korean tourism-related product development. He even named a company after his wife — “Hee Sun Cultural Exchange Co., Ltd.” — showcasing his love for her.
