Kim Jaejoong on His Alleged 1 Trillion Won Wealth “Running Company with My Own Money, Don’t Have Earthly Desires Anymore”

On March 6th, the first episode of Season 4 of the YouTube channel “Jae friends” was released.
The first guest of “Jae friends” Season 4 was INFINITE. INFINITE’s leader Kim Sungkyu told Kim Jaejoong, who founded his own company, “When I was being interviewed, I couldn’t help but to think that you would’ve felt lonely when challenging yourself to do different things and try something new.” Kim Jaejoong responded, “CEOs should be lonely.” As Sungkyu attempted to bring up a realistic topic, he asked, “I’m only managing INFINITE, but you have other artists. You’re training new artists too. It actually costs a lot of money. It costs way more than when we first debuted. You need a lot of funds to manage the company and stuff, so I was curious about how you were replenishing it.“

Kim Jaejoong candidly admitted, “Since I founded the company, I did it all with my own money.” He continued, “People ask why I started a company with my own money that carries a huge risk. But I’m very satisfied right now.” When INFINITE reacted with surprise, Jaejoong quickly clarified, “It’s not because I have a lot of money.“

He added, “I honestly don’t have earthly desires anymore. I’ve faced my limit. I eat the same food everyday!” Sungkyu jokingly remarked, “If you’ve hit the limit, doesn’t it mean that you’ve earned more than enough?” Sungyeol quietly asked, “I guess the rumors of him being a trillionaire are true?” The members laughed as they said, “It might actually be true.” Kim Jaejoong explained, “Regarding personal values, I don’t think I’ll get happier earning more money. But regarding the company’s value, you can do more and provide a better environment with more money, which is good. That’s why I’m investing in my company. I think I’m already done with investing in myself.”

Meanwhile, in 2023, Kim Jaejoong co-founded iNKODE Entertainment with former Cube Entertainment vice president Noh Hyuntae. After debuting the girl group Say My Name, he is now preparing to launch a boy group.
