After years of silence and international work, actor Kim Ji Soo has returned to South Korea, marking his first time back since the school violence and bullying scandal that halted his career in 2021.

Kim Ji Soo, who was previously rising to fame through various dramas, faced a career-altering controversy in March 2021 when he was accused of bullying, school violence, sexual harassment, and assault during his school years. The allegations led to his agency terminating his contract and his removal from the drama River Where the Moon Rises. Shortly thereafter, he enlisted in the military, stepping away from the public eye.

In 2023, the actor resurfaced with an update, claiming that the original accuser had forgiven him, and hinted at a potential return to acting. That return came to fruition in the Philippines, where Kim Ji Soo took part in a drama project, ultimately signing with a local agency, seen by many as a tentative step toward rebuilding his career.

Now, on April 22, Ji Soo has once again drawn public attention after posting a TikTok video of himself walking along the Han River, casually speaking in English with someone behind the camera. The clip quickly circulated online, drawing supportive comments from fans and curious speculation about a full-scale comeback in Korea.
