Kim Jong Kook Marries Non-Celebrity Bride in Private Ceremony, Yoo Jae Suk Hosts
Singer Kim Jong Kook weds his non-celebrity partner in a private Seoul ceremony, marking a milestone in Kim’s 30-year career.

Singer Kim Jong Kook (49) officially ties the knot today (September 5) in a private wedding ceremony in Seoul.
The intimate event is attended only by close family, relatives, and friends. Longtime friend and entertainer Yoo Jae Suk is the host of the ceremony, adding a warm touch to the special occasion.
Kim’s bride is a non-celebrity, whose identity he has firmly decided to keep private. He previously confessed, “I will never reveal her identity. She’s someone outside of the entertainment industry, someone you don’t know.”

The couple will reportedly begin their newlywed life in Kim’s luxury villa in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam. The property, purchased for 6.2 billion KRW earlier this year, sparked speculation about marriage, which has now become a reality.
Kim shared heartfelt words with fans through his fan café last month: “I’m getting married. I know some people might feel it’s sudden, even though I’ve dropped small hints. This year marks my 30th debut anniversary, and while I didn’t make the album I wanted, I did make my other half. Please congratulate and support me. Though it’s late, I’m grateful to be going this way.”

Debuting in 1995 as part of Turbo, Kim Jong Kook enjoyed massive success with numerous hit songs before launching a solo career in 2001. Beyond music, he rose as one of Korea’s most beloved entertainers through variety shows like X-Man and Running Man, earning multiple prestigious awards, including the 2021 SBS Entertainment Daesang and the 2023 Baeksang Arts Award for Best Male Variety Performer.
Kim Jong Kook’s marriage marks not only a personal milestone but also a celebrated moment for fans who have followed his three-decade-long career.
