On July 9, multiple online communities and social media platforms began sharing two dated photographs, each featuring Kim Jong-kook and Yoon Eun-hye at the same location on June 10, 2008. Both images included a handwritten message of gratitude along with the date, leading to widespread speculation that the two may have visited the venue together.

This newly surfaced material has reignited public interest in the long-standing dating rumors surrounding the two celebrities. Kim Jong-kook and Yoon Eun-hye were previously at the center of relationship speculation during their time together on the popular SBS variety show “X-Man”, and whispers of a past romance have persisted for years despite repeated denials.

Further fueling the rumors, a 2022 YouTube video by Yoon Eun-hye featured the actress recounting a past relationship involving a boyfriend who reduced his text messages over time. She recalled responding by writing down all the texts she received in a notebook and giving it to him. This anecdote closely mirrored a story shared by Kim Jong-kook in 2018 on the SBS program “My Little Old Boy”, in which he mentioned an ex-girlfriend who had documented his decreasing messages in a notebook raising eyebrows over the similarities.

Following public speculation, Yoon Eun-hye eventually deleted the video, explaining that there had been a “file issue” and that she needed time to reorganize her channel. However, the timing of the removal only intensified public curiosity.

Despite the mounting circumstantial evidence and fan theories, Yoon Eun-hye’s agency JArmy Entertainment reiterated to Sports Chosun at the time: “The past dating rumors between Yoon Eun-hye and Kim Jong-kook are not true.” Kim Jong-kook has also consistently declined to comment on the rumors.
