Actor Kim Min-kyu is set to shake things up in the upcoming drama Bitch x Rich Season 2, stepping into the role of a calculated and enigmatic transfer student. The high-stakes psychological thriller will premiere in July 2025, bringing back the elite chaos of Cheongdam International High School with a darker twist.
Written by Kwak Young-im and directed by Im Dae-woong and Park Hyung-won, the series centers on power games, high society, and emotionally charged relationships in Korea’s most elite high school.
Kim Min-kyu portrays Cha Jin-wook, the secret illegitimate son of a corporate magnate. Having transferred from an international school, Jin-wook quickly establishes himself as a major player in the school’s shadowy hierarchy.
In a pivotal plotline, Jin-wook proposes a contract relationship to Baek Je-na (played by Red Velvet’s Yeri, aka Kim Ye-rim), creating sparks and suspicion.
Recently released stills showcase Kim Min-kyu’s intense visual transformation into the cold and charismatic Jin-wook. Dressed in sleek black attire and exuding quiet dominance, the character’s chilling presence hints at layers of strategy and suppressed emotion.
In the drama, Jin-wook joins the exclusive “Diamond 6”, the inner circle that controls the school’s power structure. His calculated moves, including the arranged engagement to Baek Je-na, fuel the drama’s central conflicts and emotional stakes.
