Kim Na-young Faces Criticism for Posting Controversial Photo of Her Children on Instagram
On April 28, broadcaster Kim Na-young uploaded a series of photos to her Instagram with the caption, “A weekend of sports with my active family.” The images showed her and her two sons enjoying various activities such as tennis, yoga, swimming, and ballet.
However, among the photos, one image drew particular backlash. In the now-deleted photo, Kim Na-young’s two sons were seen standing on the handrails inside an elevator while still wearing their shoes, all for the sake of capturing a playful shot.
Many criticized Kim Na-young for failing to correct the inappropriate behavior, with some accusing her of encouraging it for the sake of a trendy Instagram post.
One concerned netizen asked, “Did you at least wipe down the handrails afterward?”, To which Kim Na-young replied, “Yes, we cleaned it properly before leaving.”
Despite her explanation, Kim Na-young quietly deleted the problematic photo from her account, further fueling debate over her judgment and responsibility as a parent.
The controversy has reignited discussions around public etiquette, the influence of social media culture, and the responsibilities of celebrity parents when sharing their children’s lives online.
Kim Na-young has been raising her two sons as a single mother since her divorce in 2019. She has been in a public relationship with singer My Q since 2021.
