On November 8, Kim Nam-gil posted on his social media account, “I’ve heard that many fans are worried because of the casting news.”
Kim Nam-gil explained, “It’s true that my agency received an offer for ‘Get Schooled’, but I need time to personally review it before accepting or declining, out of respect for those who extended the offer. However, right now, besides ‘The Fiery Priest’, I have neither the time nor the capacity to consider anything else.”
He emphasized, “I’m always doing my best to make sure that fans who have loved all my past works aren’t disappointed.”
Kim Nam-gil’s fans expressed concerns about his potential involvement in “Get Schooled”, highlighting controversies surrounding the original webtoon, including allegations of racism and sexism.
