Late Kim Sae-ron’s Heartbreaking Final Message Revealed: “Alcohol Test Was 0”
According to reports on May 23, Kim Sae-ron posted the message around 2 a.m. one day in September of last year on a private SNS account shared only with close acquaintances. Although the story was deleted after 24 hours, as is the nature of the feature, some friends who saw it confirmed its contents.
The post included a selfie and an emotionally charged note expressing deep loneliness and a sense of betrayal. She thanked a few fellow celebrities who had helped her during difficult times, while also addressing those who had abandoned her, writing, “To those who left me at my lowest, think about what you received from me.”

Most notably, she protested the drunk driving controversy, stating, “The breathalyzer test showed 0. The blood test result was high, but that was from the previous day. There was no blackout. All damages have been compensated.” Kim Sae-ron had dropped out of scheduled projects and lost advertising deals following the scandal, leading to a de facto halt in her entertainment activities.
Two friends who saw the post rushed to her home within 10 minutes and prevented a tragedy at the time. However, approximately five months later, Kim Sae-ron passed away, adding to the heartbreak.

Reports also indicate she had borrowed significant amounts of money from acquaintances during her final years around 100 million KRW each from two idol members and two singers, and about 60 million KRW from her former agency.
Meanwhile, her family claimed through the controversial YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute that Kim Sae-ron had been in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun since she was a minor. They also alleged that Gold Medalist, Kim Sae-ron’s agency, had sent her a legal notice demanding damages. Kim Soo-hyun’s side responded, stating, “They dated for about a year after she became an adult, and the legal action was part of proper procedure.” Kim Soo-hyun has since filed a defamation lawsuit against the channel.

Amid the ongoing turmoil, Kim Sae-ron’s final film, Guitar Man, is set for release on the 30th. However, some of her lines in the film have been criticized as inappropriate, keeping the controversy surrounding her unresolved even after her passing.
