YouTuber Lee Jin-ho Denies Kim Sae-ron Recording Allegations, Vows to Delete Channel if Proven True

On May 9, YouTuber Lee Jin-ho declared during a live stream that if the recording allegedly proving he offered 10 billion KRW to a whistleblower is genuine, he would delete his YouTube channel.
This comes after a press conference on May 7, where attorney Bu Ji-seok and YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute representative Kim Se-ui presented audio clips purportedly recorded by a whistleblower known as “A,” who claimed to have obtained these recordings with the late actress’s consent a month before her death.

Kim Se-ui alleged that A was attacked by two assailants shortly after contacting him and that the incident is now under investigation by the FBI, labeling it a planned crime, not a random act. He also claimed that Lee Jin-ho offered A 10 billion KRW in exchange for the recordings.
However, YouTuber Eun Hyeon-jang, who also appeared on the live stream, called the recordings entirely fabricated. Lee Jin-ho, speaking during a phone call, strongly denied ever contacting A or making such an offer, stating, “If it turns out I offered 10 billion KRW, I will delete my YouTube channel.”

In response, actor Kim Soo-hyun’s agency Gold Medalist announced additional legal action against Kim Se-ui and the bereaved family, citing defamation and stalking under Korea’s Information and Communications Network Act.
This unfolding situation is drawing increased attention, as public sentiment becomes more divided and questions mount over the authenticity of the materials and motivations behind the revelations.
