Late Kim Sae-ron Allegedly Received a Shamanic Ritual in Hopes of Returning to Acting
On April 11, a video titled “Shocking Exclusive! Why Did the Late Kim Sae-ron Receive a Shamanic Ritual?” was uploaded to Lee Jin-ho’s YouTube channel.
In the video, Lee stated, “In September last year, Kim Sae-ron received a shamanic ritual at a famous shaman’s shrine in Seoul. Initially, she had no intention of doing so, but the continued hardships she faced pushed her to that point.”
He explained, “She suffered from frequent nightmares and physical illness. Her desire to return as an actress was especially strong. When someone told her that receiving a shamanic ritual could enable her to act again, the idea deeply shook her.”
Lee added that the owner of a pub in Apgujeong, whose family was well-versed in shamanic practices, had given her advice during this period.
Lee said, “According to acquaintances, Kim Sae-ron had confided in the pub owner about her consideration of the ritual. She ultimately received the ritual in September last year. Her situation at the time was at its worst.”
According to Lee, Kim Sae-ron was overwhelmed by two major issues: Her alcohol-related driving incident, which led to her working part-time less than a year after the scandal, while also having to shoulder all responsibilities alone as the breadwinner of her family; She was dealing with stalkers who followed her to her workplace and financial difficulties. It was claimed that she sought financial help from fellow celebrities and acquaintances.
Lee also revealed that Kim Sae-ron went through a breakup in July last year with a boyfriend she met while working part-time. A voice recording allegedly captured her saying in distress, “I feel like everything is insane.”
Furthermore, her marriage with her American husband, which was recently revealed, was also reportedly linked to her fragile state. During this time, she fell ill and eventually proceeded with the shamanic ritual. However, although she believed the ritual would cost 10~15 million KRW and end there, she later found out there were two more stages requiring additional fees.
This left Kim Sae-ron in a situation she could not financially manage alone. Even after reaching out to others for support, she failed to secure the necessary funds. She reportedly despaired upon hearing “Without completing the additional rituals, you will never be able to act again”, leading her to feel hopeless and confide in her acquaintances about her plight.
