On March 19, YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, currently facing defamation charges from Kim Sae Ron’s family, released a shocking audio recording. In the clip, a woman alleged to be Kim Sae Ron admitted to having a secret marriage in the US after getting pregnant. It was also mentioned that she had an abortion but was still threatened into marriage.
Now, these allegations have been met with strong denial from the late actress’s family. Particularly, on March 20, through YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute, Kim Sae Ron’s family directly addressed these claims.
Kim Se Ui, the channel’s host, stated, “After yesterday’s broadcast, I was truly shaken. Lee Jin Ho posted a video with claims about Kim Sae Ron’s personal life, but it’s fake news. We met directly with the late actress’s family. They assert they’ve never concealed anything. They were unaware of these allegations, so it’s baffling that someone would fabricate such stories!”
According to Garo Sero, the late actress’ family firmly denied any knowledge of Kim Sae Ron’s alleged marriage or abortion. Regarding rumors that her manager paid 20 million won (approximately $17,500) in medical expenses due to the family’s inability to pay, they completely refuted these claims and demanded evidence. They also expressed profound distress over these unfounded allegations.
The Garo Sero Institute also highlighted the deteriorating health of Kim Sae Ron’s mother, stating, “Yesterday, the late actress’s mother cried a lot. One of our staff hugged her, noting she was so thin, just skin and bones. She gave us a handwritten letter titled ‘To Sae Ron in Heaven,’ filled with tears and sorrow. Initially, the family planned a press conference today, but Sae Ron’s mother was too devastated to attend. Seeing her unable to stand was truly heartbreaking.”
Garo Sero then unveiled the mother’s tearful letter to Kim Sae Ron, where she stated that she still can’t throw away the late actress’ clothes and blanket, adding, “I still can’t accept that you are gone…”.
The mother also revealed that Kim Sae Ron once asked her if her friends will come if she dies, adding, “My dear daughter, so many people came to say goodbye to you. You were always like a child, but do you see it now? Do you see how deeply you touched the world?”
