Interview With Director of “Everyday We Are”

In a phone interview with “The Daily Sports” on February 19, Director Kim Min-jae, who worked on the late Kim Sae-ron’s final film, expressed his sorrow, saying, “I can only feel deep regret. I met Sae-ron separately eight months ago. It was our first meeting in two years, and she was struggling a lot. She cried a lot, and I told her to stay strong.”

He recalled, “To be honest, just before the release of Everyday We Are, her DUI incident occurred. Sae-ron felt extremely guilty. We both went through difficult times, and when we finally met again after a long while, it was a moment to collect our emotions.” He continued, “I keep regretting why I couldn’t hold onto her, why I couldn’t be there for her as an adult. I feel like I lacked something.”

Not only was she passionate about acting, but she also had a deep understanding of her character and an exceptional ability to translate direction into performance.
