Kim Sae-ron’s Funeral: Father as Chief Mourner, Family Devastated, Requests to Refrain from Reporting
On February 17th, a close associate of the late Kim Sae-ron told TV Daily, “The deceased’s mother conveyed her wishes that ‘she does not want to make her path difficult. She wants to hold a funeral as quietly as possible,'” and requested, “Please refrain from covering the story as much as possible.”
This close associate, who recently spent a lot of time with the late Kim Sae-ron, expressed his sorrow, saying, “Sae-ron had a hard time while she was alive. She suffered from articles up until the moment she passed away, and she does not want to cause her pain until the very end. I think the bereaved family feels the same way.”
Meanwhile, visitation for mourners will begin today (February 17), and the coffin will be borne out on February 19 at 6:20 AM. Her father has taken the role of the chief mourner, and her family is in deep sorrow over the sudden passing of Kim Sae-ron, the eldest of three daughters.
Kim Sae-ron was found deceased at her home in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu at approximately 4:54 PM on February 16. Police confirmed that no signs of criminal activity were detected, and no suicide note was found.
Meanwhile, Kim Sae-ron’s final work remains the musical film “Guitar Man”. She completed filming in November last year, and the movie is currently in the editing process, with a scheduled release in May.
