According to recent reports, police are preparing to summon Kim Se-ui for questioning, with increasing attention on his repeated delays. In February, Tzuyang filed a formal complaint citing blackmail, coercion, defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act, and violations of the Anti-Stalking Law. Though the case was initially closed, she appealed the decision, and police reopened the investigation.

Tzuyang completed her statement at Seoul Gangnam Police Station on May 9, while Kim Se-ui has reportedly postponed attendance twice, claiming “lack of time due to the presidential election.”

In a separate but parallel legal move, Kim Soo-hyun‘s agency filed a complaint in April accusing Kim Se-ui of defamation and violations of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, specifically regarding distribution of illegally filmed content. Kim Soo-hyun has already completed all procedural testimonies.

Kim Se-ui has used the same excuse, his involvement in the presidential election, to delay police summons for both cases. Now that the election has concluded, authorities are expected to proceed with questioning imminently.

A representative from Kim Soo-hyun‘s side commented, “We know he has delayed the investigation twice. We are unaware of the exact reasons.”

A police official added, “If a suspect continues to ignore summons without valid reasons despite our repeated attempts, the investigation may be escalated to compulsory measures such as issuing an arrest warrant.”

With two high-profile plaintiffs and rising public scrutiny, Kim Se-ui’s next move, and the police’s response, are expected to set a significant precedent for influencer accountability in South Korea.
