Leaked Messages Raise Suspicions That Kim Soo-hyun May Have Also Driven While Drunk?

On March 28, the Garo Sero Institute released another set of alleged private messages, reportedly showing a romantic relationship between Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun. The messages are dated back to 2018, during the time Kim Soo-hyun was serving in the military and on leave.
While the messages contain affectionate language, public attention quickly zeroed in on one concerning detail. The individual believed to be Kim Soo-hyun allegedly said:
“Yesterday I drank on the street, threw up, fell asleep, threw up again, even had to stop the car to throw up… I just sobered up now, haha.”
This comment has sparked heated debate online. Some netizens raised concerns that Kim Soo-hyun may have driven under the influence, a similar incident that previously destroyed Kim Sae-ron’s career.
However, others argue that the phrasing “got in the car” rather than “drove” implies that he was likely a passenger, not the driver.

As of now, there is no confirmation regarding whether Kim Soo-hyun actually drove under the influence. Additionally, the authenticity of the leaked messages remains unverified.
With the speculation spreading, many are urging caution before drawing conclusions based on unconfirmed and potentially manipulated messages.
The controversy involving Kim Sae-ron’s family and Kim Soo-hyun has continued for over three weeks with no resolution in sight.
On March 27, Kim Sae-ron’s family held a press conference, releasing alleged romantic messages believed to be from Kim Soo-hyun to Kim Sae-ron when she was just 16 years old. The messages include lines such as “When will I be able to hold you while we sleep?” and “Even if you kiss me a few times, I wouldn’t notice…”.
Additionally, the person assumed to be Kim Sae-ron complained to a friend that her company misled her into paying 100% compensation, despite a 7:3 contract split.

While Kim Soo-hyun has remained silent, the authenticity of the messages has come under scrutiny. Critics question whether the messages were fabricated. In response, Kim Sae-ron’s lawyer admitted the texts shown were reconstructed versions due to privacy reasons but claimed the originals do exist and are not fabricated.
The lawyer also said the family is considering legal action against Kim Soo-hyun but hasn’t made a decision yet.

On March 28, the late Sulli’s family joined the fray. Her brother, via Sports Kyunghang, demanded answers from Kim Soo-hyun and his cousin Lee Sarang regarding Sulli’s nude scene in the 2017 film Real. He alleged the scene was not in the original script, a body double was available, but Sulli was pressured to perform it herself, leading to severe mental health issues afterward.
Kim Soo-hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, responded that they are currently investigating the matter.
