Kim Soo-hyun Lied about Attending Kim Sae-ron’s Funeral? Family to do Digital Forensic
On March 18, Hankyung.com reported that Kim Sae-ron’s family is proceeding with digital forensic analysis to verify alleged photos proving she was in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun while she was still a minor.
Kwon Young-chan, head of the Korea Celebrity Suicide Prevention Association, criticized Kim Soo-hyun’s absence, “His agency revealed that they sent a condolence wreath and even released a photo of it, but it was a staff member who attended, not Kim Soo-hyun himself. The two were in a long-term relationship shouldn’t he have come in person?”
This is a direct rebuttal to previous claims from Kim Soo-hyun’s agency that the actor met directly with the bereaved family, offered condolences and provided funeral wreaths along with condolence money.
On the same day, with the consent of Kim Sae-ron’s family, a video surfaced allegedly showing Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron dating at her home. In the clip, Kim Sae-ron can be seen watching TV while a man, presumed to be Kim Soo-hyun, records her.
Kim Sae-ron is heard saying, “This is amazing. Have you tried it? If you put this on your stomach, you’ll die. It feels like a cat with tape on its back.” She then turns to the man filming and asks, “Are you still recording me?” The man responds “Yeah, aren’t you too tense?” before touching her back.
Garo Sero Research Institute, the channel that released the video, commented, “The bereaved family thought Kim Soo-hyun was patting her back because she had hiccups, but viewers pointed out that it seems like he was testing a low-frequency therapy device on her back.”
Additionally, a photo of a man, alleged to be Kim Soo-hyun, doing dishes in only a T-shirt surfaced, with netizens pointing out that the kitchen in the background matches the one in the video, further fueling speculation.
