Kim Sook Exposed Park Jin-young “Recording with Him Was a Nightmare, It Made Me Furious”
TV CHOSUN’s variety show “Falling for a Trot-dol: Lovestruck Noonas” (hereafter referred to as “Lovestruck Noonas”), which has been drawing attention as a collaboration between TV CHOSUN and SM Entertainment, follows passionate “older sisters” who wholeheartedly support “rookie trot-dols”—the group MYTRO—as they grow through blood, sweat and tears to become superstars. In the 4th episode, airing today (Oct 26th), viewers will see the MYTRO members recording their new song “Bam Bam Bam” and receiving choreography, pushing forward with their debut preparations.
During the episode, the True Sis hosts Lee Young-ja, Song Eun-yi and Kim Sook cheer on the MYTRO members as they record their new song “Bam Bam Bam” in composer Jo Young-soo’s studio. As some members enter the recording booth nervously—whether they’ve recorded before or are doing it for the first time—Kim Sook expresses deep empathy, “Recording a song isn’t easy.” Kim Sook, who once debuted as a member of the project girl group Unnies, steps into senior mode.

Kim Sook then brings up Park Jin-young, who produced Unnies’ album, stating, “When you record, it’s important to have the right teacher.” She adds “It took me an entire day to record just one verse“, recalling her vivid “recording studio nightmare” and shaking her head in disbelief. She even shares a directing example from Park Jin-young, “He told me to sing with the excitement of stepping on snow that had just fallen but with a slight footprint from one person who had already walked on it.” This memory causes Kim Sook to burst out in frustration, with Lee Young-ja laughing and commenting, “That’s difficult to understand.”
As curiosity builds around Kim Sook’s full “recording studio horror story”, attention also turns to whether the MYTRO members, with Kim Sook’s support, can successfully complete their first recording.
Meanwhile, episode 4 of TV CHOSUN’s variety show “Falling for a Trot-dol: Lovestruck Noonas”, which is expected to bring fresh energy to Korea’s trot scene, will air today (Oct 26th) at 7:50 PM.
