Kitagawa Keiko Dominated Entertainment Industry’s Beauty Rankings for 15 Years
On October 25, Oricon Style magazine announced the 18th edition of its “Female Stars with the Most Ideal Faces as Voted by Women,” with Kitagawa Keiko taking the top spot for the second consecutive year. Not only that, but she has consistently topped other beauty rankings in Japan, earning the title of “the most beautiful woman of all time.”
The allure of the actress, born in 1986, has not diminished throughout her 15-year career. In just two years, Kitagawa Keiko remained undefeated across eight different rankings, including titles like “Ideal Lover,” “Star You Want to Date on Holidays,” “Star You Want to Go on a Summer Vacation With,” “Star with Perfect Golden Ratio Facial Proportions,” “Most Desired Star,” and “Most Seductive Actress.” Her dominance is only rivaled by Aragaki Yui, another beauty often praised as a “national treasure of beauty.” The two frequently swap between first and second place, even though both actresses are now married and approaching their 40s.
Kitagawa Keiko graduated from Meiji University’s Faculty of Commerce, and due to her striking appearance, she quickly became a model for Seventeen magazine. However, beauty alone was not enough—she has built an admirable career with many successful works. One of her standout roles was Rei Hino (Sailor Mars) in the live-action Sailor Moon series.
