Koo Jun-yup Reportedly Relocating Near Late Wife Barbie Hsu’s Resting Place in Taiwan
According to reports from Taiwan’s ETtoday on June 19, Koo Jun-yup, a member of iconic K-pop duo CLON, was recently seen viewing a new apartment near Jinbaoshan Memorial Park, the site of Barbie Hsu’s burial.

The property, though distant from central Taipei, offers a clear view of the hillside cemetery, suggesting Koo’s intent to stay close to her final resting place. While it has not been confirmed whether he purchased the apartment, local speculation points to an emotional motive behind the visit.
Hsu’s mother, Huang Chunmei, responded to the news, saying, “I haven’t heard anything about my son-in-law buying a home near Jinbaoshan. But he truly loved my daughter.”
Koo and Hsu’s love story spans decades. The couple originally dated in 1998 before breaking up. After Hsu divorced Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei in 2021, Koo reached out using her old phone number. They rekindled their romance and married in 2022 in a widely publicized reunion that touched fans across Asia.

Tragically, Barbie Hsu died in February 2025 from acute pneumonia while traveling in Japan. Following her sudden death, Koo was reported to be inconsolable, losing over 10 kilograms and struggling with grief. Despite this, he has shown unwavering dedication, visiting Jinbaoshan daily and even preparing a memorial statue in her honor.
Koo Jun-yup’s decision to remain in Taiwan and potentially relocate near Jinbaoshan reflects his ongoing devotion and deep emotional connection to Barbie Hsu. Their enduring love story continues to move fans and stands as a poignant testament to love beyond life.
